What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a safe, gentle and relaxing way of bringing about a positive change, and is effective in treating many physical and psychological conditions. It combines talking therapy with hypnosis.

Hypnosis is a safe yet powerful state of mind, which creates deep relaxation both in mind and body such that the mind is most receptive to beneficial suggestions. The hypnotic trance is a very natural state that we all tend to enter into it when deeply engrossed in daydreaming, concentrating hard on a task or during the moments before drifting off to sleep.

During hypnosis you will remain conscious, be aware, in control, and will not reveal anything you do not wish to, infact people find it an enjoyable, calming, positive experience.

Sally uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy CBT and Solution Focused Therapy SFT approaches and other techniques together with hypnosis to overcome any feeling, belief, habit or pattern that may be preventing you from enjoying your life.

  • Solution Focused Brief Therapy ( SFBT )

This modern future focused therapy, works on strengths rather than weakness, solutions rather than problems, discovers and makes use of inner resources. This type of therapy tends to be brief compared to other therapies so that often change can be brought about within relatively few sessions

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT )

This type of therapy is concerned with changing unhelpful behaviour and negative thoughts and beliefs to something more useful positive and healthy.
